What is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle, healing practice that comes from Japan. It works by tapping into the universal life energy that flows around and through us all. The goal of Reiki is to restore balance and promote healing on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level. During a session, I use light touch or hands-off techniques to channel this energy, helping you relax, find peace, and feel more aligned.

What to Expect in a Reiki Session
In a typical session, you’ll lie down comfortably, fully clothed. I’ll either place my hands gently on or hover them just above your body, depending on what feels best for you. To enhance the healing experience, I may also use crystals placed around you or on specific areas of the body to amplify the energy flow. Each crystal is chosen to support your unique needs, whether for grounding, emotional healing, or relaxation.
The atmosphere will be calm, with soothing, calming music playing in the background to help you fully relax and deepen the experience. During the session, you may feel warmth, tingling, or simply a deep sense of peace and relaxation. Reiki is all about working with your energy, so your experience will be as unique as you are. When the session is over, we will have brief discussion about your experience.
After Your Session
After a Reiki session, you might continue to feel shifts in your emotional and physical state as the energy integrates. To help with this process, I recommend staying hydrated, resting, and practicing self-care.
What is a Healing Crisis?
Sometimes, after a session, you might feel temporary discomfort as your body releases old blockages. This is completely natural and part of the healing process. If you experience an emotional release or mild physical symptoms after a session, it’s a sign your body is restoring balance.

Can’t make it in person? No problem! Distant Reiki allows me to send healing energy to you, no matter where you are. You just need a quiet space to relax, and I’ll guide you through a session either via Zoom or with a photo to connect with your energy.
